Just wanted to let you all know that I am safely in Atlanta - actually I'm in Hapeville just south of Atlanta close to the airport. I am at the Hampton Inns 404 767-9300 room 621. Of course, you can always reach me by cell. Not sure I'm going to stay here, though. Don't really like the hotel, but it is close to the office which is in a very industrial, warehouse district. Not the part of Atlanta that I like. The area is actually scarier than Memphis and not a THING to do. Oh well, I need to concentrate on working anyway.
I did meet Susan for dinner tonight - we're working on this year's party. I think most of you were on the heads up list, but if not, the date is the 17th. I'm sure Susan will have some new, exoctic drinks and we're also going to have a special treat musicwise....thanks to PK and her talented connections.
This weekend I plan to scoot down to Warm Springs and check out the FDR sites there. I've read a couple of books about him lately. In all my other trips toAtlanta over the years, I never got down there. It's only about an hour south.
Slight change in schedule....will have to come back here instead of going right to Florida...in fact, not even sure about Florida now because there have been some issues in Denver and I may be needed more there. Anyway - I will be home as planned on the 20th - then to Muskogee on 23-25 (really wish I could get out of that, but Tonto became a client when I really needed the business and now they depend on me so I don't want to bale out on them). Then back to Dallas late on the 25th and an early flight to Atlanta on the 26th. Will be here until the 4th....and then either Denver or Florida.
Oh - a quick note on the flight yesterday. Sat on the runway in Dallas for two hours due to bad weather in Atlanta...at least that's what they told us first...then they said there was a plane landing that declared an emergecy....never heard any more about that. Stayed in touch with mom by phone to keep up with the score of the Braves/Astros - had the Braves won I would be at tonight's game right now!!!! Could not believe that they blew a 6-1 in the 8th - and took another ten innings to do it!!!! They're acting like the Rangers!!!!
And then this morning got up to head to office and had a flat on the rental. Such is the life of a road warrior.
Later,guys.
